A friend suggested I share this special memory of Catharine here. It makes me smile to remember it.

I met Catharine for coffee in early March of this year. She had told me earlier that week through e-mail of her English “special friend” who had recently swept her off her feet. This was not in the realm of our usual discussions and I couldn’t wait to hear the details!

When we sat down for coffee, I jokingly asked her, “so, are you moving to England?” She replied right back, “no, but I’m getting married!” My jaw hit the floor! Through her following description of Ray and their relationship, I could tell she was very much in love and incredibly happy and excited.

I don’t think she would mind me revealing my thoughts on our conversation…it was great to see her so happy and I’ll always remember that.

I am sorry I won’t be able to attend her services on Saturday, I have to be out of town. I will miss Catharine a lot.
